Meet Your Consultant
My name is Kelly Jensen and I look forward to assisting you! I bring 25+ years of knowledge and experience into my consulting role. My professional background spans a variety of positions and industries- from entry level to senior leadership, and from career transition to professional success. Most of my experience has centered around counseling, advising, and program management, giving me the knowledge and insight to effectively coach and support diverse client populations at every stage. I’m also trained in health and wellness, so I take a holistic and balanced approach to coaching. My work has included empowering former foster youth and first-generation college students; helping refugees find employment; motivating adults to achieve fitness goals; providing guidance on mentorship to corporate professionals; coaching leaders on how to give quality performance appraisals; and managing career services for STEM students at a major university. I enjoy getting to know people and learning about what motivates them, which is why I’ve chosen a path of service. I think it’s important to listen, be empathetic, and set goals; then I can empower others to define and achieve success on their own terms!
As for my education, I consider myself a lifelong learner. So far I’ve earned four degrees in the areas of Human Services, American Studies, and Nonprofit Leadership; I became bilingual in Spanish; received my personal training and yoga teaching certifications; was the top student in my TEFL certification course (I’m a grammar nerd at heart); and have studied abroad in 11 countries. The culmination of my professional and educational experiences has laid the foundation for me to easily connect with others, build rapport, and advise with expertise!
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, being outdoors, live music, major league baseball, and exploring history and street art while traveling. I feel my best when I’m active- doing yoga, playing pickleball, lifting weights, paddleboarding, etc. I balance it all out with downtime at home with my two fur babies!
What Clients Are Saying
“Kelly is an extremely thoughtful and caring leader who always thought about my needs. After working with Kelly as my career counselor while in college, one skill clearly stands out: Communication. From one-on-one sessions to department wide workshops, she was attentive to detail and presented with intentional messaging that always left me feeling supported. She leads by example and showed me how to present myself, whether it is behind a podium, at a conference table, or over email. She is a treasure trove of wisdom who has guided me from before I had a resume, to landing a job offer pre-graduation.”

“I cannot recommend Kelly enough. I am 13 years into my career and have not performed a job search in well over a decade. I’ve known it’s time for a change for awhile now, but haven’t had the confidence to even start the process.
Kelly was able to give me that confidence. She helped me figure out what I was looking for, and how start that process, from resume feedback to job search optimization, to what follow ups should look like.”
-Felicia T., Property Management
“Working with Kelly has been truly transformative. She didn't just help me navigate my job search—she fundamentally changed how I approach my career and life. Her calm, composed demeanor combined with exceptional listening skills created a safe space where I could explore challenges and opportunities openly.
Kelly's detailed resume analysis was instrumental during my job search process, but her impact extended far beyond technical expertise. One of the most valuable concepts she introduced me to was the "reverse checklist," which taught me to pause and acknowledge my achievements rather than constantly pushing toward the next milestone. This shift in mindset has been invaluable in helping me appreciate my own professional growth and maintain perspective during challenging transitions.”
